Harvest time

This summer we had a little garden. The soil isn't very good here and I had heard good things about raised beds, and on a tight budget, I found various lengths of 2x4's, 2x6's and even some 4x4's for free. My goal is to have the beds 18" tall, that way I can have potatoes, various and other deep rooted plants with plenty of soil.

We used wood chips, Tagro, and some leftover potting soil that was left here.
With enough sweat, screws, and kids that love to help, we now have 7 beds.

And surprisingly everything, we plant or seeds we put in the ground, have grown!! It's our little patch of magical Heaven!

I was able to get almost 42 lbs from one potato that I bought at Fred Meyer, and let it sprout and just put it in the ground and it did awesome!!
