Our first snow fall!

On Saturday we woke up to snow! I can't remember the last time we got snow here right after thanksgiving! And it was awesome!

One of our family traditions is to set up our Christmas tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. 

This year we wanted to have a live tree (We have a very nice fake tree, but wanted a real one this year!)

We went with my Grandma to a local tree farm and searched for the Perfect Tree. The fresh snow and sunshine only added to the awesome day.

Grandma wanted to find the cutest tree there,  

 

We found it! A 10 foot Douglas Fir. Yeah, I could hardly wait to take it home and decorate it. Lil' man wasn't happy we didn't pick the tree he liked. 

 

The finished and decorated tree! I love having 9 1/2 foot ceilings and yes we had to cut off over 6 " so the Angel would fit.
