A few evenings ago my sweet girl Miss J wanted to take some pictures while lil man and I checked the garden, and picked a few things for our dinner....
All photos are taken by her, she even have us pose "so she could get the best angle!"
Lil man and I picking zuchinni,
I'm standing by the Quinoa, and red Amaranth. It's doing really well and now 7 feet tall! I'm excited to see how much we are able to harvest from it all.
This is our first year successfully growing Jalapeno from seed! This is a huge deal!
...And of course some green bell peppers too!
Lil Man with "his" pumpkin, of which was miss marked when we planted the seeds, because the marker said butternut squash and that ain't it!
One of 6 nasturtiums plants throughout the garden, they attract aphids away from veggie plants. A must in every garden
Cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, apples and bees.
We decided this was a mommy carrot and her baby, that didn't want to let go...
I'm picking salad greens.
The dahlia bed. We planted so many different colors and yet all we got was variations of white, pick and purple... They knew we needed more color!
"Candy cane striped" dahlia.
"Aloha" Dahlia
This is a yellow onion blossom. (I was told how to pose and even what facial expression I should have....I stood like this for a good 3 minutes while she figured out which direction she wanted to "capture the moment")!
Walla walla Sweet onions.
Sweet corn!
The garden in all it's late July glory!
Another angle.
I was told to not smile, which made me smile more, and finally after a fit of giggles and one not happy 9 year old who told me to "pull it together" we got this...
There she is, the amazing photographer of this post. She had so much fun with this!
