The Puyallup Fair! Or, I mean the Washington State Fair, Whatever!

So we went to the Puyallup/Wash State Fair. Every year we go on opening day. It's a big deal around here for sure!

Lil Man of course went mutton busting. he was a little nervous, but he did great!

This year the fair had a History of Sweets Experience. It was pretty cool to see all the info about the history of so many famous and favorite candies.
The kids are posing with a candy wrapper dress and a mural made out of Jelly Belly's!

The Hubs wanted to pose in the kissing booth, but I didn't realize he was trying to dip me, so I sort of squatted...It ended looking better than I made it sound.

Another mural of Jelly Bellys.

Lil Man riding a truck ride. We let each kid pick two rides, that way they can go on some but make sure they really want to ride them!

That day was quite warm, I mean hot for girl! So we had to partake in some shaved ice. It was so yummy.

Then off to an air conditioned building for of various collections....This kid was in heaven!

And these two were as well!

We love to watch the draft show, all the various breeds of draft horse teams pulling wagons and doing some different maneuvers and tricks. The Clydesdale are my fave.

The Hubs like the Percheron

After the show we watched as the handlers gave all the horses cold showers, it was hot and they had just worked really hard.

There was a bed company that was doing "sleep studies" and these guys couldn't say no. Side note, I only had to take one photo because they all laid down and really closed their eyes the whole time!

Lil Man had to ride a tractor!

I had to ride a truck, Ford of course!

The follwing week the kids and I went again, back to the fair.... For a field trip! Because honestly you can't see and do everything in just one day!
We watched the earlier draft show, These two were for sale. I sent this pic to my Hubs and he said no. Lame. But whatever, maybe next year.

We walked through the horse barns, we are always drawn to them! There were a few people warming up their horse before a show, so we watched.

This guy is a Draft cross. Beautiful guy!

Lil man showing that he can stick his butt through the fence and hold up his feet...Its a real skill.

We ran into a friend of mine who was competing there! Her horse Jasmine, was one that I had worked with last year and earlier this year. I was so happy for them to be there and competing. Update, they won 3rd place!

Checking out all the meat breed rabbits, we're planning to come next year and win it all!

Another day, another tractor ride!

Having a lunch break.

Miss E and I in line to ride the biggest wooden roller coaster at the fair, because that's what we do! Two rides per kid, and one big one for me.

After the ride! Phew, it was fast and so fun!

Apparently this guy didn't want to go alone, oh and I was free on the little kiddie rides. Yeah me!

...And he screamed like a little girl. The. Whole. Time!

There was a cute little circus show that had all the kids in the audience be the cast!
Lil Man was a white tiger.

The girls were the biggest kids in the show so they couldn't fit the little costumes, so they got to be clowns. The bib and hat fit!

The petting farm was so cute! I kept telling the kids to just pick up their favorites and see if anyone would notice us leaving with them....They wouldn't listen and do it!

Lil Man just bonded with this sweet little pygmy goat. It was really cute, the goat would walk away when anyone else would touch him, but he stayed still when Lil Man petted him

And when he tried to feed him too. He asked me to hand him a sandwich because the goat wanted his sandwich. Sorry kid, it's for you only!

So this barn was pretty awesome...I was taking note of the layout and the lighting, I'm really in love with big barns and so badly want to have one so we could do events. Weddings, parties, etc.
