Half way through our long flight!
Finally on the train to our flat.
London stole my heart right away. It was everything I ever dreamed it would be and more. It was so full of history and life and you just feel like you belong right away. The streets were filled with a different smell around each corner. The people were so wonderful and the weather was surprisingly beautiful for the time of year! I didn't want to leave. In fact I almost asked Shawn if we could cancel Paris to stay in London longer. In all honesty, I would have moved there in a heart beat! P.S. Scones with clotted cream is basically the thing missing from your life that you never realized was missing until you find it. Then you don't know how you lived without it and you dream about it on a regular basis.
Our adorable flat came with a Skeleton key.
Naturally we had to take some pictures with red phone booth!
Yes we do think we're pretty cute
We loved the London tube system! It was complicated at first but once you get it down its the greatest thing ever! P.S. Oster Cards!
I was in heaven at the tower of London. One of the towers was build in 1088!
Tower Bridge was gorgeous and we got to tour it. Shawn was in engineering bliss seeing all the old machinery.

We went to dinner at a Pub called the Mayflower. It's built on the pier that the original Mayflower departed from. They lit the place with real candles and we had meat pies and fish and chips.
We went to the Picadilly Market and Shawn bought me this felt hat. I'm not a hat person but I love this one! It's so cute and actually fits my small head.
We had a traditional English breakfast (sans beans), with dry toast, eggs, sausage, potatoe cakes, and we added bacon (because we are Americans)

We had to have a little selfie action with some more national monuments.
The Queens tower which we all know as Big Ben was so cool! I get why it's a national monument!
Since the Queen was "home" the changing of the guards took place behind the palace gates but it was still a sight to be seen! I can't believe they do this everyday!
There were so many random gorgeous streets that were to pretty not to applicate.
Shawn took this picture and it belongs on a post card! It's about as "London" as you can get!

What a great trip, too bad you didn't do it as a honeymoon! ;)
