So this is going to be a very personal post. No I'm not going to bear my soul....I'm going to talk about bikini lines!
Yes, this is a topic I want to cover. So let's get right to it.
I love summer! I love swimming! I love being on a beach or a lake, and I'm totally comfortable in a swimsuit, I know random, but to me, I workout and take care of my body and the older I get more I am ok with being in a swimsuit that doesn't necessarily hides my "wobbly bits" but flatters and even shows off my hard work and healthy lifestyle!
But, and this is a big but, I don't like having to worry about my bikini line, I have tried everything, Nair, shaving, plucking and with this post, now waxing! Yup I bought a do it yourself waxing kit, with the Lidocaine and corn starch, since we don't have baby powder. I have waxed my legs, but that's it. And I'm not comfortable having someone else do it.
So here we are in the privacy of my locked bathroom!
I will not post, let alone take before and after pics, so your going to have to just trust me k?!
Lucky for me Sally's Beauty Supply has a good waxing strip kit, and being the brave and having a high pain threshold, I wanted to try it.

First, spray the Lidocaine on and wait a full 2 minutes! Trust me on this!!!
Second, I chose pre-waxed strips, less mess, and easier to use for the first time.
Third, add corn starch or baby powder to skin.
Fourth, apply strip to one inner thigh, smooth down and rip off, that's the only way to describe the action. Yes that's it!
Fifth, repeat all steps on the other side. By the third time I had the angle to rip off just right, and yes it hurt, more like stings. Yes, I broke out in a light sweat by the last strip. I went through 4 total for both sides. Right afterwards, I applied the after wax lotion, it's supposed to calm the skin and relieve irritation. It works!
I will wait til the morning to see/feel how it works, because right now I'm still pretty numb. Which is a very weird sensation!

UPDATE....
The next day. There is no nasty red marks, no pain and a lot less hair. I will definitely do this again,
