The garden and the future....

We have been talking about moving for a while but this year feels like The One...We have a prospective buyer that plans to move here the August, and now to just find The Right Home!
In the mean time, after 4 years of planning, prepping, weeding, planting and waiting, the yard and garden have become the dream/goal I envisioned for this place!
I'm so happy with how it has come together and over the years we have let it evolve and expand and then simplify. I realized I might be only posting one or two more times about our yard and then we will move!

This used to be the chicken yard, it is now a shade/cool season garden and everything is flourishing probably from all the chicken poop, LOL!

The blueberries and strawberries are all blooming and we will hopefully have a decent berry harvest this year.

 Our first strawberry!

The front yard is exactly what I wanted to see happen here. We have iris, lupine, dogwood, lilac, dahlias, catmint, peonies, day lilies and shasta daisies.

And this cute little tree was a volunteer from a sprouted almond! Yes, I have not one but three almond trees that were started from seed! I don't know if/when they will grow and produce any nuts, but I'm so happy that they are doing well. This one is the tallest, it is almost 3 1/2 feet tall, and has actually grown over a foot in a year!
