Bathrooms should be blue!

So I had high hopes we were moving this year..... That doesn't look like it is happening any time soon which is disappointing but I needed a change! I have NEVER liked the brown/tan/sand/whatever you want to call it color of our house. EVER! So over the years most of the rooms have been painted as the mood/time strikes me.
Our main bathroom is a half bath right off the family room m and it is little and dark!

The Hubs wanted white, but that's not going to work, I read an article on some realtor website that blue bathrooms in a home usually appeal and sell for more that any other color, well heck lets go blue! But finding the right shade could get tricky.
We all love the beach and I LOVE turquoise, like love it everywhere is various tones and shades, so I, alone in the garage mixed various shades of paint (I 'm always buying the mis-tints of high quality paint for this very reason!) I knew I wanted a clear, light color and this was the first one that I mixed.
Ta Da!!

From start prep to finish took 2 hours and I had my noise-cancelling earphones and Broadway hits on Pandora and it is perfect!

And then there was the dreaded Master Bath (because why stop with one room right?) After we bought the house it was the same light brown color as the rest of hte house, ugh. So I quickly painted it a country blue, but it looked baby blue, and neither of us liked it, so I was excited to re paint the room.
Here is the baby blue color

I tried to paint with the same color from the downstairs bathroom, but it looked like a very pale green...? I don't know what happened!

Then I went a different direction since this room has a huge south facing window and tons of natural light, I mixed a medium smokey blue/grey.

The Hubs said it looked like cement prison walls.... So NOT the feel you want in a Master Suite bathroom!

Third times the charm, by the way this whole process was over a 2 week time period, I'm already pretty busy, but I HATE not finishing a project! This is the after, I mixed a nice neutral light turquioee that looks great in natural light, has a soft tone at light under the vanity lights and (finally!) compliments the colors of the tile floor, shower and the wood vanities!

Now when we do list the house we will have fresh, clean, bright bathrooms that will hopefully help make a sale!

I love the blue with the warmth of the cabinets.
