I'm having a hard time right now. I know this is going to sound whiny and ungrateful. But for me this is hard. Months ago (Feb 15th to be exact) Moses (finally) got the strong impression that we should really start looking and buy a farm. 

This has been my dream for so many years and hard to be patient over. So we looked. We prayed. We fasted. We looked some more. Put an offer on one and lost it. And looked some more... Figured out we have driven more than 750 miles looking at houses this year alone!

Well it's now November and still no farm. Thankfully we have been quite busy since that day in February, but on a day like today, when our neighbor yells obscenities at his wife in the yard while my kids are outside, or our taxes and city bills keep going up or the other neighbor with the registered sex offender son who is back home for the rest of the year (the neighbor let us know as a "courtesy" Thankx!) I'm done.

I have dogs that need space, horses and goats that need to come home and chickens that we miss terribly! I know that we will find the right home in the Lord's time but right now I'm sad because we're still here and we have winter coming and no prospects. 

I'm not asking for the moon or a big house and rolling green hills, just a home that feels safe and warm. Property that is ours and enough space that we can't hear the neighbors yelling at each other.  Fully fenced and gated entry so no more stray dogs or those awful solicitors. A place for each of our animals and an orchard and garden. 

I've been going for the "field of Dreams" thing that if we have all the farm stuff then the farm will come...

So we keep waiting, and praying, and looking, and hoping and preparing!
