I have to start by saying March felt like the shortest month ever! February seemed to go on forever, with cold, rainy days and too much to do. But March went by so fast!!
And here we are in April now!
To celebrate we got chicks. And not a few mind you, oh no, in this family it's go big or go home! So we have 75 chicks in my garage right now!!! Some are my mom's, and a few are my brother's, but we got 15 meat chicks, and 10 layers. Super happy we got them too! A great price, and since I'm the one with a fully insulated garage with room to spare, they are here until it warms up and they feather out.
The kids have had a lot of fun with them, we have already named a few (we only name the layers since the meat chicks will be eaten and we don't want to get attached!)
So far so good, they layers were a surprise mystery deal, so we don't know what breed our gender they are yet, and that's kind of fun.
