PeeWee Soccer.

Its crazy to think my youngest is 4 years old! This summer we talked with the kids about each of them playing a sport this fall. Since we are homeschooling this year, we wanted the kids to still socialize with other kids and play some sports. Mr L, chose soccer, and I found through the Rec center here, a peewee indoor soccer team. This is the funniest thing to watch! A bunch of 3 and 4 yr olds running around chasing a ball! The parents sitting all along the walls are more interested in playing then half the kids. There have been a few kids that have walked off the "field" to get a drink, go to the bathroom, or even go get their toys and go back and play with them on the field oblivious to a game going on around them!
Both my husband and I are pretty competitive and this has been a hard few weeks watching as these kids not really playing. Ok, its been only hard for me! The kids just want to have fun and for some this is their first time playing an organized game, and they are only 3 and 4 yrs old. But still, I'm yelling and cheering, and being as supportive as I can without, going out there and becoming the coach (and memo to me. Do NOT volunteer to be a coach. EVER!) I want the kids to play. To focus. To kick the stinking ball in the right net! And I want them to win! I'm now a Monster Soccer Mom!...
Luckily its not about me, and L is having a blast! Now the 10 week season is almost over and he has already said he wants to play again, and when can he start football!
