The garden did really well this year! We were able to grow enough peppers, onions, tomatoes and garlic to make 15 pints of fresh Jalapeno, peach salsa! We didn't grow the peaches unfortunately...for now! But we had plenty of local produce to have lots of yummy, fresh, wonderful food.

The salsa harvest! We only planted one Jalapeno and one green Bell Pepper, but we were able to pick over 45 jalapenos, and at least 12 bells. Add to that 7 varieties of tomatoes and we had the makings for some fresh salsa!
We were able to can 15 pints of it. I had some peaches as well so we had a beautiful peach jalapeno salsa to hold us over till next year. I will stat more peppers next year, this time with some sweet and red bells.
Miss E had a nice little garden this year, quite the mix of everything.
The Sugar Pie pumpkins hiding in the leaves
This was the garden 2 weeks ago. just past peak production... The Dahlias in the fore-front have done so well we are talking about building another bed for more varieties!
I planted these Black-eyed Susans right after we bought the house, over two years ago. They are one of my faves and attracted bees and humming birds all day long!
Duke and Lady, while kids harvest, or weed or plant, these two aren't quite as helpful... But we are expecting puppies any day now this week!
Cucs, beans, zuchinni, green peppers, and yellow crookneck squash.
We did succession planting with the beets and carrots and we will have a steady harvest of them hopefully through the winter.

This is what the garden looked like yesterday. We have a been pulling out anything that has finished its season, like the cucumbers, pumpkins,
