We bought our house 3 years ago next month. That first month I built this bookshelf to hold some of our many books. Our loft is the perfect spot for a library.
These are the before. I had planned on trimming them out with crown molding and floor molding, but life never slowed down and I never made time, until a a week ago I realized that project was still in progress and I hate unfinished projects!
You can even see how I build the shelves and didn't fully attach them to the wall!

Now putting it all back together. I built a floor lift, and framed for the crown molding.
I will hopefully cut and mount the last pieces of trim and molding this weekend. and next week the kids will help me chalk and paint the whole thing including the walls behind the shelves. I'm really excited to finally have this done and it will look amazing! I'm going to cheat and post a pic whenever it's finished so sorry Liz or Amy, or whoever's week it will be when I sneak this post in!
