In this family we have alot of hair! My Hair is fine, curly/wavy and I have alot of it. The Hubs is Polynesian and has thick, course, straight hair.....
So this kid got the most of it, her hair is course, wavy, thick and we call her the younger sister of Mohana and Hermoine! Case is point, this is what we all wake up to on a typical day.
Yes that is how big her hair can get in the morning! And, yes we do thin it quite alot!
I took these photos a few weeks ago, and her hair has actually grown alot since then.
This beautiful braid was done by Miss J. She wanted to try and contain all that hair!
Miss J is OBSESSED with the style and history of the 1920s! We also have been watching Downton Abbey the final season, and Miss J wanted a smart, new style and was sure she "needed" a makeover. I cut over 3 inches off the back, shaped and thinned and this is the final look. She loves that she now looks like Mary, from Downton Abbey!
I love finding these fun selfies on my phone! These are a few different days that Miss J wanted to document.
I love this kid so much, she is so much like me! Her fashion choices are bold, and yet she rocks them and this look is one of my fave! This was last Sunday and she asked if she could borrow one of my necklaces, this is what she came up with!
The girls have been practicing braids and ponytails, and to be totally honest, I have never loved doing hair! I'm very low-maintenance and yet with this many textures and lengths in one house, there is no end to the style possibilities. Over the last few weeks, in the evening, we all tend to hang out in the family room, usually reading, playing games, or watching a movie.
Over the years as the girls have gotten older it has also turned into "beauty salon" nights. They will each pull out hair supplies, pins, clips, etc, and they will take turns styling my hair. I don't remember when I became the hair model exactly, but I do have the hardest head of the three of us, and I will happily sit on the floor with a book or whatever I'm reading and they will have at it.

Funny story about this photo. Miss had just styled my hair, Miss J was mid coat of painting my nails, and Miss E noticed I had a sliver, she was trying to remove it, I was trying to not squirm as I'm very ticklish on my feet! The kids were laughing at me and I don't know why Miss J took this photo.
